Sweets from the Earth is a bakery located at Steeles W. and Keele, which focuses on making baked goods that are vegan, free from nuts, and do not contain genetically modified organisms. Duties and Responsibilities: Packager Jobs in Toronto

Adhere to GMP regulations and ensure thorough sanitation procedures are carried out before every packaging process.
Maintain constant monitoring and supervision of all items moving through packaging lines to identify any flaws, issues with flow wrapper pushers, or foreign substances, and guarantee that the product complies with quality standards.
Identify and separate any item that does not meet the predetermined quality requirements or could pose a risk to food safety if consumed. Inform the supervisor or the quality assurance department immediately if such an issue arises.
Make sure that the products are wrapped correctly, with the right seal and accurate lot coding.
Inspect the items as they are produced to ensure they comply with the required quality standards.
To ensure the final product falls within the specified weight range, it is necessary to conduct weight checks every half-hour and record the results of these checks.
Make sure that products are counted, boxed, and labeled with precision.
Record all packaging actions and the total number of completed items on the Finished Product Packaging Record.
Be sure to use a metal detector on all packaged items and document the findings on the Metal Detector sheet.
Efficiently complete tasks and achieve daily schedules and targets.
Remain at the specified packaging line and do not leave the workstation.
Obey and heed the guidance provided by the packaging supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Packager Jobs in Toronto

Having at least one year of experience working in a food manufacturing facility is considered advantageous.
Outstanding abilities in relating to others, effectively expressing oneself, and efficiently managing one’s time.
Having knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and an Allergen Control Program is beneficial.

Work & Sensory Environment

Lab coats, hair nets, gloves, plastic sleeves, and safety shoes are obligatory.
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Required to stand for the entire shift.
Necessary to consistently maintain pace with the packaging line.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 per hour
